Internet Explorer 9 Download – Watch out for the link here
After the release of Internet Explorer 8, Microsoft started working on Internet Explorer 9 so early. Microsoft was waiting for user suggestions for the improvements from IE 8.It’s expected that IE 9 will be released so early with much changes and tweaks to survive the browser market.IE 9 is going to use GPU for page rendering. That would be a good sort of improvement.

Google Chrome extends to Extensions
Missing a PR bar in the header of a browser would have been a great loss for the Search Engine Optimizers. Google chrome was competing enough on everything else other than this. People had to use bookmarks (in the form of JavaScript) to check the page rank’s of sites. Don’t worry, soon Google chrome is going to support for extensions for all its versions (developer versions of Google chrome was already supported).

New Alexa Redirect link ?
Getting into top Alexa position was always a tough task for Search Engine Optimizers. As Alexa rank gaining significance in the internet market, one has to get into top Alexa ranks to attract advertisers. The most common technique, say myth, used for gaining a good Alexa rank was through redirect links.
People use” http://redirect.Alexa.com/redirect?techsw.com” instead of just “www.techsw.com” for link building so that Alexa keeps a count on the visits through these links. This was absolutely useless. Alexa never counted all this redirects says the company. So far, all these redirects were working fine getting end up in the right page. Now, Alexa has put an end to it. All the redirect links are now broken. The entire process of link building with the Alexa redirect is in vain. No hope of Alexa giving a new redirect link nor would they restore the old one.
Note: Alexa is very clear that it only checks the toolbar logs for allocating the ranks.
Wi-Fi Direct – Is this the end of Bluetooth?
Wi-Fi Alliance (this includes companies like apple and Nokia) has decided to launch a Bluetooth rival that’s going to do the work of Bluetooth in a better way. It’s named Wi-Fi Direct. This allows laptops and smart phones to form peer to peer connection without the need of them to connect to a network. The most exciting thing about Wi-Fi Direct is its backward compatibility. This can be implemented in older Wi-Fi devices through a firmware patch.
It’s expected to offer a speed of almost 10 times that of Bluetooth, i.e., it would offer 250 Mbits per second. It would work in greater distance than that of Bluetooth.
The fastest computer in the world – Cray XT5 — aka ‘Jaguar’
The most powerful computer (to be called as a supercomputer) in the world is Cray XT5, simply called as the “Jaguar”. It’s a monster computer that has the ability to clock 1.759 petaflops, i.e., 1759 trillion calculations per second. Unimaginable isn’t it.
It is built using AMD six-core Istanbul Opteron chips with a clock speed of 2.6 GHz each. In total, it holds 255,584 processing cores. It was upgraded from an existing super computer that was running at half the speed of Jaguar with four-core AMD processors. The Jaguar holds a system memory of 362 terabytes (three times that of the second largest system in the world).the read/write speed of jaguar is 384GBps
IBM’s “Roadrunner” holds the runner-up position in this category.
