Laptops being on a high for sales in the market, the competition has become tougher.Not just the price tag and features makes an ideal laptop.One should look out for the malfunction stats to decide the right one.The 3 year malfunction scale of laptops from a service called SquareTrade states that 25.6% of HP laptops malfunctions in a period of 3 yrs from the date of purchase while Asus has the least in it with 15.6%.
Reliability is the key factor to be analyzed while buying a laptop.Just performance with a frequent malfunctioning laptop wont pay for the penny spent.From the above stats, 20.4% of laptop failures are due to hardware malfunctioning and 10.6% was reported as accidental damage.Netbooks have a higher failure rate,almost 20 %, when compared to laptops.SO when you go for portability,go for a laptop unless you are so concerned about the size.
