The Concept Behind Torrents

The raise of torrents resulted in the fall in the use of P2P networks. Almost 75 percent of the web community use torrents and only a very fewtorrent conceptcares to know what torrent is actually about. In the very beginning, torrent was one of the main sources of Linux distribution. Now let’s see how torrents actually work. The man behind the entire concept of torrent is Bram Cohen. Simultaneous upload and download of the same file is the significant feature of this concept. When a file is downloaded by a person through torrents, he actually downloads from multiple users who are downloading the same file or already downloaded the file and the person himself who is downloading is uploading the file (threads) to some other. With such a concept, the load on download servers are reduced as each downloader acts as a server. Downloaders who are performing simultaneous upload and download processes of the same file are called as “peers” while ones who have downloaded and still uploading are called as “seeds”.
There are many torrent clients available in the web. Bit torrent was the first and still now the best in the market. One can use sites like torrentz.com or queen torrents to find files that are being shared in this concept.
