As the resource Fudzilla, Intel company soon plans to implement support for DDR3 memory by the controller integrated into the Atom processors platform Pine Trail.

It is expected that in the third quarter of 2010 will be presented two new models of processors Atom N475 and N455, the memory controller which will support DDR3, but the memory frequency is not specified. Such chips are designed for use in the netbooks. According to preliminary information, the device N475 will run at a frequency of 1.83 GHz, as a result of its value TDP will increase to 6,5 Tues At the same time for the N455 chip operating frequency is declared at 1.6 GHz, and the value of TDP - 5,5 Tues

It is expected that netbooks based on the new processors Intel Atom N475 and N455, should be submitted to the manufacturers of computer equipment before the end of this year. The transition to DDR3 memory standard will not bring significant performance gains netbooks, but few will be able to lower power consumption and price (depending on the situation in the memory market at year-end) of such devices.
