Origin Of The Universe
Scientists have estimated that the universe we live in today was formed roughly 13.7 billion years ago. All the matter in the universe including that in living organism and non living organism was picked into a single ball of plasma not larger than the palm of your hand. The pressure was just too much to handle and this ball exploded. After the explosion the matter contained in the ball started expanding. Sub atomic particles known as electrons protons and neutrons were created. Celestial bodies known as starts were formed. The starts contained electrons and protons under extreme pressure and heat a process called nuclear fusion started. This resulted in the creation of elements such as Hydrogen and Helium. Continuing nuclear fusion resulted in further new elements such as Lithium, Boron, Beryllium, Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen, and many more. Some of the pieces of the starts containing these elements burst off and started cooling. They later settled down as planets. Our earth is such one planet. Stars gathered together to form galaxies. There are several galaxies in the universe. Our galaxy is known as the Milky Way galaxy. Our sun is only one of the several billions of the stars in our galaxy.
