Position Of Earth

Our earth is in an ideal position. It is not too far from the sun, nor too near. Hence it is not too hot or too cold. It has an excellent protective shield called the atmosphere which keeps away harmful radiation from the sun. This shield slows just the right amount of heat and light to pass through to the surface of the earth. The temperature of the surface of the earth is ideal for life to thrive. All living beings are made of carbon compounds. The atmosphere consists of the elements Oxygen and Nitrogen. Hydrogen is available in plenty in the form of water, which is a compound made up of Hydrogen and Oxygen. All animals and plants are mainly made up of the above four elements.
