Reproduction Of Plants

All the four types of plants mentioned above reproduced in a more or less similar manner. Mosses are of two types male and female. The males release sperms and the female release eggs which are specialized cells. These cells meet each other to create fertilized eggs called zygotes. This zygote floats moves and grows into another moss. In the case of ferns there is no male or female tree. The same tree produces male cells known as sperms and female cells known as eggs. The egg remains attached to the tree while the sperm floats in air. Sperm cells reach the egg cells of the same plant or another plant fertilize the eggs and create zygotes. The zygotes float in air fall down to the soil take root and grow. In case of conifers each tree generates male cones and female cones. Male cones are filled with male cells or sperms in the form of pollen. Female cones contain female egg cells. Pollen flies in the air and reaches the eggs fertilizes them and creates zygotes. The zygotes stay in the female cone and mature. There may be some unfertilized eggs as well in the female cone. For more details about potty putter visit the above mentioned link.
